Durban: Valentine’s Day special at Cargo Hold
The Cargo Hold’s chef is offering two menus for the month of February. In addition, any lucky couple that books at uShaka Marine World’s Cargo Hold over the Valentine’s Weekend, will stand to win a dinner for two including a bottle of wine and soft drinks.
One three course menu – priced at just R395 per person – starts with a choice of lightly cured rainbow trout and Norwegian salmon, peri-peri calamari flash fried with a sweet chilli and orange glaze, quail and chicken roulade or a marinated pear and chickpea salad, followed by a sorbet.
Alternatively, the other menu allows you to choose from: Cupid’s prawns grilled with peri-peri and served with a lemon butter sauce; fillet of prime beef, seared chicken breast accompanied by caramelised apple, potato puree, leek and red cabbage marmalade and a port jus; roasted kingklip served with lemon butter crème and a sweet potato and butternut risotto or a strudel of field mushrooms that includes mushrooms, spinach, goat’s cheese, phyllo, parmesan, roasted tomato and basil coulis.
