Jock’s Cottages
Jock’s cottages are 4 star, self-catering cottages on an historic fly and trout fishing farm. Perfect for long walks in the countryside, a day of fishing in the damns, and lazy evenings spent drinking red wine in front of the blazing fire.

Magaliesburg, North West Province

Mamagalie Lodge

There are three lodges available, with the Bush Lodge being the most secluded– raised into a tree canopy in a kloof surrounded by the Magaliesburg mountain range. Their beautiful Victorian bath tub looks out into the trees and the lounge has a fireplace for Winter nights. The bedrooms are tented with views onto the Buffelspoort Damn. Services can be arranged.  Bring everything you’ll need so as not to have to drive to the store, and don’t forget charcoal and firewood.

Cederberg, Western Cape

Rockwood Cottage
Surrounded by the magnificent mountains of the Cederberg, Rockwood Cottage is on a working protea farm just outside Citrusdal. The area is popular for hiking, mountain biking and rock climbing, and there is a short trail to a beautiful waterfall near the farm. The views are magnificent and the cottages cosy and fully equipped.

Hoekie B&B
In this quaint fishing village about 90 minutes outside of Cape Town is Hoekie B&B – a traditional, white-washed home on the main beach front with 4 star facilities and gorgeous views of Paternoster’s spotless stretch of coastline. Their tastefully furnished lounge has a fireplace for winter evenings.

Bellevue Manor
Just outside the main town of Stellenbosch, Bellevue Manor Wine Farm is surrounded by sweeping views of the Simonsberg mountains.
